The JDFC's homepage was opened with the help of web designer, SEKINO Toshiyuki.

They met the chairman of the 13th World Transplant Games 2001 Kobe, OHKUBO Michitaka.
Mr. OHKUBO told them that he would like to express his thanks to the donor families during the event.
However, the JDFC answered that they would prefer to share their idea of the importance and joy of life. The details of the event are still under discussion.

Mr. MAZAWA attended the meeting held by "Thinking of medical and religion " to give a lecture entitled "The journey to tell the importance of life".
He talked about his experience of the "Gift of Life", the grief over losing his daughter and the need to build up a system to support donor families.
He also mentioned the Japanese view of religion and the current situation in the medical services.

The JDFC, the first organization of donor families in Japan was founded. It is run by donor families, for donor families.

With his experience in the United States, Mr. MAZAWA appealed to Mr. SATAKE and Mr. YOSHIKAWA.
He told them that he believed it was necessary to teach people to accept donor families in society and for the relationship between doctors and patients to undergo a fundamental change in Japan.
